One of our own, Minnesota Linebacker Chad Greenway, is nominated for the fourth time for the 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year. His commitment to philanthropy and his community has not gone unnoticed.
Chad has been involved in a variety of community initiatives with a focus on children’s health, starting his “Lead The Way” Foundation in 2008 – an organization that helps support chronically and critically ill children and their families throughout the Midwest.
Chad and his wife, Jenni have supported many other charitable organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House – Upper Midwest and various children’s hospitals.
Chad is eligible for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award presented by Nationwide. The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recognizes a player for his excellence on and off the field and is among the NFL’s most prestigious awards.
The winner will be announced on in Houston during “NFL Honors,” a two-hour prime-time awards special to air nationally on Feb. 4, 2017, the night before Super Bowl LI, from 7-9 p.m. (CT) on FOX.
Congratulations, Chad. You truly aspire to greatness every day.
